Can shopping systems understand your product catalog?

Check the product data a buyer and a shopping platform need to compare your products. Answer for a representative product page, then repeat across categories and variants.

This is a self-reported readiness checklist. It does not test AI rankings, platform access, or sales performance.

Eight practical checks

Choose Yes, No, or Unsure for each check. No account or email required; answers stay in this browser.

1. Product identity is specific

Can a buyer distinguish the model, brand, size, material, and key attributes from the title and description?

2. Price and availability are current

Do the visible page, structured data, and any product feed agree on price, currency, and stock status?

3. Product markup is valid

Have you checked a representative product page with Google's Rich Results Test for Product and Offer markup?

4. Variants are unambiguous

Are colors, sizes, and other variants identifiable with their own accurate availability and offer details?

5. Shipping and returns are clear

Can a buyer find delivery regions, shipping costs or estimates, and the return policy before checkout?

6. Product pages can be reached

Are important product URLs linked from your site and available to crawlers, without accidental noindex or blocking?

7. Images and descriptions answer buyer questions

Are images usable and descriptions specific enough to explain fit, use, dimensions, compatibility, or ingredients as appropriate?

8. You can measure a change

Do you have a dated baseline of catalog issues and product-page changes so you can compare the same sample later?

Google explains that product structured data and Merchant Center feeds can help it understand product details, while neither guarantees a particular search appearance. OpenAI describes direct product feeds as one way participating merchants share catalog information for ChatGPT shopping. These are separate systems with different eligibility and requirements.
